Bhubaneswar: MGM School of Sports in Cuttack has signed an agreement with India’s leading cricket coaching institute ‘Coaching Beyond’. Coaching Beyond, founded by former Team India coaches Ravi Shastri, B Arun and R Sridhar, will act as the knowledge and technical partner for the campaign and aim to bring global coaching practices to Odisha.
Apart from this, former Indian cricketer SL Venkatapathy Raju has been employed as a consultant coach. The campaign will begin with the selection of 50 young male cricketers through a transparent process. These selected candidates will be given high performance training at discounted rates. The program plans to expand its capacity to include both male and female trainees in the future. Apart from this, the academy will organize a one-day coaching program for boys and girls of all age groups.
Pankaj Lochan Mohanty, CMD of MGM Minerals Limited is optimistic about this collaboration and believes that it will significantly contribute to the future of cricket in Odisha and become one of the world’s leading cricket training centers.
