Paradeep: The exercise ‘Sagar Kavach-1’ has started today in Paradeep. Multiple departments like Indian Navy, Coastal Defense Force, Maritime Police, Fisheries and Fisheries Department are jointly involved in this exercise. This ceremony will last for two days.
It is worth noting that after the 26/11 attack, this exercise is being conducted every year for coastal protection by both the state and central governments. Security forces are strengthening themselves to defeat terrorist organizations and terrorists. In this exercise, two teams named Blue and Red team are showing their fighting skills.
18 participating organizations will demonstrate all their skills in how to prevent terrorist attacks and intruders in waterways. The coast and waterways have been strictly guarded.
