Kandhamal: Big success for Kandhamal police. Notorious Maoist Samaya Madkam surrendered. IG Jai Narayan Pankaj informed about this. It has been reported that Samaya Madakam is a divisional committee member of KKBN association. Samaya Madkam was working as a commander in the 1st platoon of the 8th company of the KKBN division.

According to information, Samaya’s house is in Malanguda village of Kistaram police station under Sukma district of Chhattisgarh state. He joined Maoist organization in 2005 when he was only 10 years old. After working in various associations of Chhattisgarh, he joined KKBN association and came to Odisha less than two years later. While he is involved in various violent activities, more than 17 cases are pending against him in Kandhamal, Boudh and Nuapada districts, the IG informed. The Maoneta Samaya said that the state government’s rehabilitation plan and surrendering to the anti-people activities of the Maoist group had been taken into account.
