AHMEDABAD: Royal Challengers Bengal have been relegated from winning the IPL title after being defeated by Rajasthan Royals. After the match, the IPL career of experienced wicketkeeper batsman Dinesh Karthik from RCB seems to be over. Although Karthik did not officially announce this, it is assumed from the manner in which he was shown the guard of honor after the match. Other players including Virat Kohli gave Karthik a farewell hug. In 2015, RCB bought him for 10.5 crores.

But at that time his performance was not good. He scored 141 runs in 11 matches. But last season he presented himself as a finisher. In 2022, he collected 330 runs in more than 180 strikes. Due to this performance, he also got a chance in the one-day world cup. Overall he has scored 4842 runs in 257 IPL matches. It contains 22 half percent. He has played for Delhi Daredevils, Kings XI Punjab, Mumbai Indians, Gujarat Lions and Kolkata night Riders.
