Yellow warning has been issued to 11 district due to 5 days of rain and lightning in the state

Bhubaneswar: Rain continue in the state even after the low pressure has weakened. Monsoon is active in the state. It will continue to rain in the state for the next 5 days. Similarly, there is a possibility of increasing rain in the state due to the effect of the tropical line extending from West Assam to North Odisha, the Meteorological Department has informed.

Rain will continue everywhere from coast to north, south to west. Yellow warning has been issued to 11 districts due to lightning. The weather department has issued a warning to Jharsuguda, Sundergarh, Keonjhar, Deogarh, Mayurbhanj, Baleswar, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack and Jagatsinghpur districts. The situation may remain the same for the next 5 days. This has been informed by the Bhubaneswar Regional Meteorological Centre.

On the other hand, the state has received monsoon rains. Which is worrying. So far 15 districts have received moderate rainfall while Mayurbhanj has recorded maximum 64 percent of moderate rainfall. The state has received 164 mm of rain so far. While 13 districts have received normal rainfall this month, only Malkangari has received more than normal rainfall.
