The deceased were identified as Gambhir Rana and his wife Geeta Rana of Patrapali village. According to information, an unknown vehicle hit the couple while they were going to their field to sow paddy at dawn today. The protestors have blocked the road demanding compensation to the family of the deceased by confiscating the vehicle that caused the accident.
Raipur-Gopalpur National Highway 59 has been blocked. Vehicular movement has been hampered due to road blockades.
