Patna: In the last 24 hours, 9 people have died due to lightning in 6 districts of Bihar. Jehanabad, Madhepur, East Champaran, Rohtas, Saran and Supal districts are included in this district, officials said on Saturday.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has expressed grief over the death of nine people due to lightning. Along with this, he has announced an amount of Rs. 4 lakh for each member of the deceased’s family.
According to a statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) on Saturday, three people died in Jehanabad district, two in Madhepur, one each in East Champaran, Rohtas, Saran and Supal. However, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has requested people to follow the instructions issued by the Disaster Management Department.
