THE PRICE OF VEG PLATE HAS INCREASED BY 8 PERCENT, NON-VEG PLATE HAS DECREASED BY 4 PERCENT…

New Delhi: Due to the increase in the price of potatoes, onions and tomatoes, the cost of vegetarian dishes has increased by 8 percent in the month of April. According to Crisil report, the price of veg thali in the month of April last year was Rs 25.4, while the price of veg thali has increased to Rs 27.4 in the month of April this year.

The bread rice rate index report has been published by rating agency CRISIL. According to the report, in the month of April, Veg plate became more expensive by 8 percent while Non-Veg plate became cheaper by 4 percent. According to the CRISIL report, due to the increase in the prices of tomatoes, potatoes and onions, the price of veg plate rose by 8 percent to Rs 27.4 in April this year. However, in the month of April last year, the veg plate was 25.4 rupees. The veg dish consists of roti, curry (onion, tomato and potato), rice, pulses, curd and salad.

On the one hand, vegetarian dishes are expensive, but good news for those who prefer to eat non-veg. The price of non-veg plate has decreased from Rs 58.9 to Rs 56.3 in April this year. However, in the month of April last year, the price of non-veg plate was 54.9. According to CRISIL report, supply of onion has decreased due to fall in rabi crop, while potato crop has been damaged in West Bengal. That is why the price of potato has increased. Compared to last year, the price of rice and pulses has also increased. The price of rice has increased by 14 percent and the price of pulses by 20 percent. On the other hand, the non-veg dish has become cheaper due to a 12 percent drop in the price of broiler chicken. In a non-veg dish, the contribution of chicken is 50 percent.
