POST-ELECTION VIOLENCE: TWO GROUPS BEATEN UP, MORE THAN 6 INJURED

Cuttack: Post-election violence has been witnessed in Vedpur village under Banki police station. Here there is a group clash between two groups. More than 6 people were injured in this incident. The injured have been admitted to Banki Hospital.

According to information, the two groups clashed over something yesterday. A fight started between BJD and Congress workers. More than 6 people were injured in the clash. The injured were reported to belong to both groups. The injured have been admitted to Banki Hospital.

BJD and Congress workers blocked the Cuttack-Banki main road till late night after the clash. As a result, normal life was disrupted. After the police arrived at the scene, the traffic was cleared. The police have brought the situation under control. On the other hand, no response has been received from BJD or Congress.
