Bhubaneswar: The 4th edition of the Odisha Naval Tata Hockey Grassroots League Championship has started at the local Keeling Stadium. There are 8 teams in both men’s and women’s categories. Its main objective is to identify talented hockey players at the grassroots level. This championship organized by Odisha Naval Tata Hockey Center of Excellence in collaboration with Sports and Youth Services Department of Odisha Government will continue till 12th. Earlier, this championship was organized from June 10 to 15 in Nuagaon and Jajpur.

32 teams took part in it. Out of this 8 teams were selected. The teams were – HPC Rajgangpur, Kutra, Vanei, Tileikani, Bishra, Chhatrapur, Sabedaga and Saunamura in men’s category. In the women’s category, HPC Gurundia, Nuagaon, Lefripada, Kumaramunda, Bargaon, Latshakta, Chhatrapur and Dhenkanal have qualified.
