Delhi: State Bank of India, the India’s largest public sector bank, has given a new facility to its customers. Now both SBI and non-SBI customers can take benefit of UPI through the bank’s digital banking app YONO. For this, the bank has launched a new version of YONO, using which customers of any bank can access this payments getaway. In such a situation, account in SBI is not mandatory to make UPI payment through SBI YONO.
SBI giving information about this, the State Bank of India has said that even today there are many customers in the country who have more faith in SBI bank than in other tech companies. It has a large number of senior citizen customers. Keeping those customers in mind, we have decided to launch digital payment through YONO. In order to attract customers of other banks also, we have decided to provide UPI payment facility to non-SBI account holders also through YONO app. In such a situation, now SBI account is not mandatory to use YONO. The use of YONO app will prove to be a big game changer also for other than SBI account holders.
SBI is the largest public sector bank in the India. It has crores of account holders across the country. After this decision of the SBI, other digital payment apps will definitely be affected. Along with this, after starting the facility of using YONO for the customers of other banks, many people would prefer to use the YONO app instead of the UPI app of other tech companies.
Use Yono like this for UPI payment-
1. For this, first download the SBI Yono app from your playstore.
2. Select the option of New to SBI and Register Now.
3. choose the option of your mobile number along with the bank account.
4. After verification of the number, you will have to create your UPI ID.
5. Select the option of your bank.
6. Then you have to be registered on SBI Pay, which you will have to verify.
7. Then you have to create UPI handle and then select UPI.
8. Then login to your account and set the MPIN.
9. After setting MPIN, you can use SBI YONO for UPI payment.
