NATIONAL SENIOR WOMEN’S HOCKEY: ODISHA LOST IN THE QUARTER FINALS

Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s campaign in the quarter-finals of the national senior women’s hockey has ended. Odisha’s performance has disappointed the fans. Odisha defeated Haryana 1-4 in the quarter-final match played at Pune’s Major Dhyan Chand Hockey Stadium. For the second year in a row, Odisha has failed to win a medal in senior women’s hockey. The team won the gold medal in 2022. In the current edition, Odisha topped Pool E and advanced to the quarterfinals. Odisha defeated Goa 9-1 and Chandigarh 6-1 in the first match. Odisha announced a team of 18 under the leadership of Lilima Minj for the national championship.
