Paradip: A fisherman caught a fish weighing more than 400 kg from the river in Paradip and made some good money.According to the information received, some fishermen went to catch fish in the river. A fisherman cast a net while fishing at the confluence of four rivers.
The fish was so huge that the fishermen could not load it in their boat and dragged it through the water to the river bank. This fish is called chakuli or shankar in the local language.
The fishermen auctioned the fish in the local market for 67 thousand rupees. As there is no special demand for this type of fish in Odisha, the neighbor took it for sale in Digha fish market in West Bengal.
