New Delhi: The central government on Wednesday, the president of the Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) Dr. BN Gangadhar has been appointed as the chairman of the National Medical Commission (NMC). Earlier he was acting as the acting chairman of NMC.
This decision has been taken in the meeting of Cabinet Committee on Appointment held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In addition, as the new president of MRB, Dr. Sanjay Bihari has been appointed. He is currently the director of Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Science and Technology in Thiruvananthapuram.
On the other hand, the appointment of Dr. Anil D. Cruz as a permanent member of the Post-Graduate Medical Education Board (PGMEB) has been approved by the Cabinet Committee. Dr. Anil D’Cruz is currently the Director of Apollo Hospital Mumbai. As a part-time member of the Under-Graduate Medical Education Board, Dr. Achyut Badwe has been appointed.
