Imphal: Dharuni Manipur violence in the name of Tambar. Attacks by extremists are increasing day by day. Meanwhile, another incident of Kuki extremists attacking the CRPF personnel has come to light. Two CRPF Sainik have been martyred in this incident.
According to information, Kuki militants attacked the CRPF personnel in Naransena area at around 2.30 pm yesterday. Two CRPF personnel lost their lives in this incident. The two deceased CRPF personnel belonged to the 128th Battalion of the CRPF deployed in Naransena area of Manipur’s Bishnupur district. Manipur Police has informed about this.
It is worth noting that during the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections, that is, during the polling on April 19, there was violence in this area. In addition, violence was seen in some areas during the second phase of polling yesterday. Earlier, the Kuki organization of the state had boycotted the Lok Sabha elections and raised slogans of ‘no justice’ and ‘no vote’.
We are saying that the violence between Meitei and Kuki communities in Manipur which started last year is not stopping. So far, more than 200 people have lost their lives and thousands of people have been injured in this violence. In addition, many people have also become homeless. Since the violence started in May last year, there have been continuous shootings and incidents of violence.
