New Delhi: A report has been published that more than 50 lakh trees have been planted in India between 2018 and 2022. Environmentalists and environmentalists have expressed concern. The information in this regard has been published in a magazine called Nature Sustainability. Many trees have been lost due to modernization and new farming methods. Due to the new type of agriculture, large trees are removed and small plots are created for cultivation. Trees that take up less space are being kept while others are being removed or cut down. Farming systems are given more importance than the environment. Agriculture is a vital part of India. Its spread is the main reason for the disappearance of other trees.

This report has been prepared by mapping the trees on 60 crore agricultural lands. They expressed fear that it will increase further. Road widening, construction of houses, trees were sacrificed. Earlier, by 2018, 11 percent of the big trees were cut. The report also did not mention whether the big trees grew after being transplanted with modern technology. They have warned that if the big tree is cut down, it will bring danger to the environment.
