New Delhi: After the ban on MDH and Everest spices, samples of rice, dairy products and spices sold in the domestic market will be tested. FSSAI has issued some strict rules. Even samples of fruits, vegetables and fish, meat will be checked. It is worth noting that in recent years, after Indian spices MDH and Everest were banned in the foreign market, FSSAI has started its inspection by collecting samples of other spice brands along with the said brand.

According to the information, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India will inspect spices, herbs and dairy food products. In response to quality concerns in Singapore and Hong Kong, FSSAI is already sampling spices from all brands, including MDH and Everest Spices. All spice samples have been ordered to be thoroughly checked to see if they meet the FSSAI standards. Last week, FSSAI said that Nestlé is in the process of collecting samples of Cerelac. There are claims that the company uses too much sugar in the product.

However, according to the information received, 1 lakh 7 thousand 829 samples were tested in 2020-21, while more than 4 lakh 51 thousand samples were tested during 2023-24. On this basis, 4,51,296 samples have been collected in the last few years.
