RAINFALL TODAY, STORM TOMORROW, ODISHA HAS NO FEAR

Bhubaneswar: The storm is gathering strength. Rainfall today, storm tomorrow. Cyclone ‘Remal’ is raging in the Bay of Bengal. The low pressure that formed in the south-west and adjacent west-central Bay of Bengal on Wednesday has turned into a visible low pressure yesterday. Today it will take the form of precipitation. On the morning of the 25th, the storm will turn into a severe storm on the evening of the 26th. The meteorological department has predicted that it will turn into a strong storm and cross Bangladesh and the adjacent coast of West Bengal.

On the other hand, the impact of the storm will not directly affect Odisha, said the Regional Meteorological Department. Due to the impact of the storm, rain will start in the state from 26th. There is a possibility of heavy rain in North Odisha. Similarly, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain at some places while there may be light to moderate rain at many places. A yellow alert has been issued to Balasore, Bhadrak and Kendrapara on 26th and Mayurbhanj, Balasore and Bhadrak districts on 27th for heavy to very heavy rain. Fishermen have been banned from the sea due to the stormy sea.
