Bhubaneswar: Southwest Monsoon has already entered the state. The people of the state are still struggling with the unbearable heat. Especially in West Odisha, the strong tide is raging along the coast. However, Bhubaneswar Regional Meteorological Center has informed that such situation will continue for another 4 days.
While Nuapada recorded the maximum temperature of 43 degrees on Sunday, Balangir recorded 41.5, Boudh 41.7, Malkangiri 41.3 and Titilagarh recorded 41 degrees. However, a yellow warning has been issued by the Regional Meteorological Center for warm and humid weather in North Interior Odisha. On Monday, the temperature may rise to 40 to 45 degrees in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam and Gajapati districts.
On the other hand, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in one or two places of Gajapati, Rayagarh, Koraput districts in the next 24 hours after the arrival of Monsoon in South Odisha.
Yellow alert has been issued for heat waves in Boudh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur and Nuapada on Tuesday and Wednesday. There is a possibility of rain in many places till 13th.
