5 missing students rescued from Saptashya hills

Dhenkanal: 5 missing students were rescued in Saptashya hill. Forest department staff and police rescued them late at night. 5 students got trapped in the dark when they went for a walk. 5 students could not return from the hills due to rain. After the rescue, the police checked the health of all the students and handed them over to their families. All the students are Arakshit Mohapatra, Shubham Mahapatra, Himanshu Dash, Sujit Sahu and Lucky Dash of Cuttack Link Road area.

According to the information, these 5 students went for a walk in Saptshayya hills of Dhenkanal district yesterday morning. They ran into the dense forest in the middle of nowhere and could not find their way back. As it continued to rain throughout the day, the situation became untenable by nightfall. Then a student called his home and informed about the incident and asked for rescue.

Hearing this, the family members immediately reported to the Dhenkanal Sadar Police Station and Saptashaya Forest Department. After this, Sadar police station and forest department rushed. The forest department formed three teams to rescue the students. Three teams led by Sadar Range Officer went into Saptashya forest to search for the students. A team of forest department and police managed to rescue them after 11:30 pm.
