Women’s cricket: Smriti Mandhana continues to record records

Smriti has scored a hundred in 2 consecutive days. She has also equaled India’s Mithali Raj’s record for the most one-day hundreds. Mithali hit 7 hundred. Smriti will break his record if he hits one more hundred. Mithali has played 211 matches while Smriti has achieved this feat in just 84 innings. Before this, no Indian women player had scored 2 hundreds in consecutive matches.

Smriti gave the best performance of his one-day career. He collected 136 runs from 120 balls with 18 fours and 2 fours. Before this, in 2018, he played an innings of 135 runs against South Africa. India set a target of 326 runs against South Africa on the strength of Smriti’s wonderful hundred.
