New Delhi: Actor Govinda, who has been away from the film world for a long time, is getting back into politics. He was last seen in the film ‘Rangeela Raja’ which was released in 2019. Since then he was not seen on the big screen. Now the actor Govinda once again entered the politics. Govinda has already been a part of politics.
According to reports, now Govinda is going to return to politics. In this year’s Lok Sabha elections, actor Govinda may contest from the North West Mumbai Lok Sabha seat. It is also said in the report that Govinda will contest the election on the Shiv Sena ticket of Chief Minister Eknath Sinde. However, the actor has not given any confirmation. While Govinda was offered a ticket, he has not taken any decision yet. It has been informed that confirmation will be given soon.
It is worth noting that in 2004, Govinda contested on a Congress ticket from North Mumbai Lok Sabha seat and defeated the veteran BJP leader Ram Naik. After Govinda’s victory, he got the title of ‘Giant Killer’. For a long time it was the stronghold of North Mumbai BJP. Ram Naik was MP for five times. In such a situation, Govinda’s victory proved to be a turning point for North Mumbai.
