Vehicles operating without a valid fitness certificate will be impounded: Transport Minister

Bhubaneswar: Transport Minister Vibhuthi Bhushan Jena has announced that vehicles running in Odisha without valid fitness certificates will be seized as per law. These strict measures have been taken to enforce road safety rules and reduce accidents.

Minister Vibhuthi Jena said that vehicles without valid fitness certificate will not only be fined but also confiscated. A case will be filed against such lane owner.

Minister Vibhuthi Jena said that the road safety rules will be strictly followed in the state and strict action will be taken against the owners of the road without fitness certificate. The move is part of the government’s efforts to improve road safety and reduce accidents caused by unfit vehicles.

Despite many awareness program, accidents are happening frequently because some road owners ignore the road safety rules. The minister emphasized that the vehicles with expired fitness and registration will be identified and necessary action will be taken against their owners.

Toll gates will be directed to prevent vehicles without valid fitness certificates from operating. This step has been taken to ensure road safety regulations.

Minister Jena mentioned that case will be initiated against the authoritie of educational institutions violating road safety rules and the importance of compliance in all area will be strengthened.
