Bhubaneswar: After attending a special preparatory meeting for Rath Yatra held in Puri under the chairmanship of Odisha Chief Minister, Minister for Housing and Urban Development and State-owned Industries Krishna Chandra Mahapatra visited the water testing laboratory established by Water Corporation of Odisha (WATCO) at Sarvodaya Nagar in Puri under PPP mode.
On this occasion, he inquired about how water samples are being collected and tested in the laboratory. Later, the minister in his presence conducted various tests related to how the quality of water samples is determined.
Later, he visited the 42 MLD capacity water treatment plant in Puri Samang Gram Panchayat.
The chief executive officer of Watcor Mr. Pradeep Kumar swain informed the minister about the functioning of the water treatment plant. On this occasion, Minister Dr. Mohapatra has ordered to study the lighting system in Bada Danda and complete the work immediately.
