Today is the budget session of Parliament, Nirmala will bring the budget for the seventh time

New Delhi: The budget session of Parliament begins today. It will run till August 12th. The session has a total of 19 working days. The economic survey report of 2023-24 will be presented, the finance minister will present the budget tomorrow. Nirmala Sitharaman will present the first budget of the third phase of the Modi government. This will be his seventh budget.

However, in this session, the government aims to pass many important bills such as the finance bill, the disaster management bill, the coffee promotion and development bill, including the expenditure claims of various departments. An all-party meeting has been held at Parliament House on Sunday before the session begins. It involved 55 leaders of 44 parties including the ruling BJP. Many Union Ministers attended the meeting chaired by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh.

Many state leaders and ministers raised various issues in the meeting. In Uttar Pradesh, the issue of Caudy Yatra, name plate dispute, special status of the state has been raised. Congress has demanded to give the post of Deputy Speaker of the Lok Sabha and demanded a discussion on the issue of net examination. Similarly, party leader Sasmit Poter joined the Rajya Sabha on behalf of BJD and demanded special statehood status for Odisha.

Apart from this, he demanded speedy payment of insurance to farmers under crop insurance scheme, provision of more rail connectivity in the state, increase in coal royalty and speedy approval of all irrigation projects. Similarly, Sasmit mentioned that BJD will also raise the issue of the death of an employee of Raj Bhawan by the son of the Governor of Odisha and no action has been taken by the state government.
