Mumbai: After the current T20 World Cup, four senior players of India are certain to retire from the T20 format, according to reports. Current coach Rahul Dravid’s tenure will also end after the World Cup. It seems that Gautam Gambhir will take this responsibility in his place. Only formal announcements are left. BCCI has set some conditions before becoming a serious coach. Among them, full control over Team India, freedom in selecting supporting coaches is key. He is aiming to form a new team for the T20 team.

If this is implemented then Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammed Sami may be dropped from the team. Looking at their position, BCCI has been asked to retire early from the T20 format. Instead of Rohit, a new captain and a player who suits this format will be selected. On the contrary, the senior players will play Test and one-day cricket as before, it is mentioned in the report.
