Bhubaneswar: Minister of Social Security and Disability Empowerment Nityanand Gond told the media on Wednesday that the government is planning to stop the sale of liquor in Odisha. The senior official of the unemployment department has refuted it today. He said today that the new government of the state has no plans in this regard.
It has recently gone viral on social media that the sale of liquor will be banned in Odisha from August 15. Later it was refuted by the Information and Public Relations Department. Social Security Minister Nityananda Gond’s statement on Wednesday has also been refuted by the unemployment department.
However, when the revenue of billions of rupees is collected from the liquor business, there is a threat of revenue if it is stopped.
