Bhubaneswar: So far 16 lakh 27 thousand 932 ghost ration card holders have been identified in the state. Action will be taken soon. This was informed by the state food supply and camp welfare minister Krishnachandra Patra.
He also said, now there will be a special ration app for adults. Ration card beneficiaries can get rice sitting at home. The state government is making arrangements to deliver rice to those who cannot come to the panchayat office.
Similarly, the government will come up with a special app for those whose tip sheet is not working due to age.
The government has now implemented basic e-KYC. So that the name of the ineligible beneficiary will automatically be deleted. Food Supply Minister Krishna Patra said in the House that arrangements will be made to give ration cards to families whose fathers are living separately.
