Cuttack: Odisha High Court will have a new Chief Justice. Justice Dr. Bidyut Ranjan Sharangi will take oath as the new Chief Justice. He will take oath as the Chief Justice of the High Court on October 4. Union Law Ministry has issued a notification.
The present Chief Justice of the High Court is Justice Shubashish Talapatra. Justice Shubashish Talapatra will be replaced by Justice Dr. Bidyut Ranjan sarangi. The tenure of the Chief Justice, Justice Shubashish Talapatra will end on October 4. Before this, the Ministry of Law has published this notification. Justice Dr. Bidyut Ranjan Sharangi was born in 1962 AD at Odagaon of Nayagarh District. After graduating with honors in commerce from BJB College, Bhubaneswar, he passed LLB and LL.M. from MS Law College, Cuttack. After completing his PhD in Sambalpur University, he joined the Bar in December 1985 and regularly practiced as an advocate in Odisha High Court and Supreme Court.
