However, the Home Department asked the Odisha Police DG about the whereabouts of IPS Ashish Singh. Additional Secretary Home Department also sent a letter to the DG of Police. Controversial IPS officer Ashish Singh took leave from May 4 due to health reasons. Now the department has written a letter asking whether Ashish has joined the job or not.
It should be noted that Ashish Singh went on leave citing illness during the election. He was accused of helping BJD in the election by going on leave. After such complaints, the Election Commission of India formed the MS Medical Board and ordered to check the health condition of IPS Ashish Singh.
