Bhubaneswar: DGP Arun Shadangi explained about IPS Ashish Singh. DGP said that Ashish joined the work from June 3. He was also involved in a meeting held at the DGP camp office on the last 17th. DGP said that Ashish has submitted his attendance report to SIW.

Due to lack of coordination, the letter may not have reached the home department. Now the home department has been informed about this. Police DG Arun Shadangi has given a clarification today after the Home Department wrote a letter regarding the presence of IPS Ashish Singh.

However, the Home Department asked the Odisha Police DG about the whereabouts of IPS Ashish Singh. Additional Secretary Home Department also sent a letter to the DG of Police. Controversial IPS officer Ashish Singh took leave from May 4 due to health reasons. Now the department has written a letter asking whether Ashish has joined the job or not.

It should be noted that Ashish Singh went on leave citing illness during the election. He was accused of helping BJD in the election by going on leave. After such complaints, the Election Commission of India formed the MS Medical Board and ordered to check the health condition of IPS Ashish Singh. Later it was clear from the medical report that Ashish Singh is completely healthy physically and mentally.
