Raipur (RF Bureau) : The 2nd Regional Alumni Meet 2024 was a remarkable event meticulously organized by the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, Regional Office, Bhopal. It was coined as NAVODAYA KUMBH. Held at the esteemed PM Shri School Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Mana Camp, Raipur, the program commenced on April 28, 2024.
The inaugural speech by Gaurav Kumar Singh, Collector Raipur, resonated with purpose. He emphasized the pivotal role of working alumni in uplifting Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas nationwide, both in corporate and government sectors. Chief guest, Dr. Ramana Rao, Director of the National Institute of Technology, Raipur, graced the occasion.
Special guests included Mrs. Sangeeta Jaiswal (AC NVS HQ, Noida) and Mr. L R Meena (AC NVS, RO, Bhopal), adding prestige to this august gathering.

710 alumni from Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh participated. In this event the Chhattisgarh Alumni Association (CAAN), Odisha Alumni Association (NAAO), and Madhya Pradesh Alumni Association (MANN) infused vibrant energy. The cultural program, featuring students from JNV Rajnandgaon, Raipur, and Gariyaband, enveloped the venue in a melodious aura. Local Chhattisgarhi folk artists enthralled the audience with their dances and songs. An open forum facilitated discussions on various JNV-related matters, engaging both Mrs. Sangeeta Jaiswal, Mr. L R Meena, and alumni representatives. To reconvene for the 3rd Regional Alumni Meet in Odisha next year, continuing our noble work for JNVs.
