New Delhi: Addressing the joint session of Parliament on Thursday, President Draupadi Murmu mentioned the NEET paper leak incident. His Excellency reiterated the government’s approach through his speech. He promised that no criminal involved in this incident will be spared and strict action will be taken against them.
President Draupadi Murmu said in his speech, “An independent investigation will be conducted into the question paper leak incident and the culprits will be severely punished.” He further mentioned that there have been incidents of paper leaks in previous governments too and there is a need for a policy to prevent such incidents in future.
It is worth noting that President Draupadi Murmu made such a statement after the irregularities in NET-UG 2024 and UGC NET examination came to light. A day after the UGC-NET exam was held, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has re-conducted the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test, Graduate (NET UG) 2024 exam on June 23 for more than 1563 candidates as the authorities expressed concern about its authenticity.
