Puri: Today is Chaitra Shukla Paktha Iidha Tithi. On this day, a policy will be made for the Lord’s son. It has been informed by the temple that public viewing will be close for 4 hours from 6 pm to 10 pm.
This is a secret of the Lord. Devotees will not be allowed to enter the temple during this time. In this the Lord’s face is raised. Dutt Mahapatra will be officiated by Chaturdhamurti’s Shrimukha in Ratnavedi.
After the second vogmandap is raised, the servants of Dattamahapatra will enter the womb of the shrine and worship the Lord’s face. The Lord’s face will be painted in natural colors such as hingul, green, conch, musk, red, white and black. All these are provided by the administration of Shreemandir.
After the Bankalagi Nithi, god will be given a great bath and another Nitikanti will be started again with Darshan.
