Sri Lanka won by 32 runs as Team India was caught by Vandersay bowling

Colombo: Sri Lanka defeated India by 32 runs in the second one-day cricket match held here, thanks to Jeffrey Vandersay amazing bowling. While the first day’s tie remained, Sri Lanka won the second match and put India under pressure. Team India has to win the final day to keep the series draw. Batting first, Sri Lanka scored 240 for 9 wickets. Avishka Fernando scored 40, Kamindu Mendis scored 40 and Dunith Wellalage scored 39. As the most successful bowler from India, Kuldeep Jacob took 3 wickets and 2 wickets.

Team India got off to a good start chasing the target of 241 runs. After adding 97 runs for the first wicket, Rohit Sharma was dismissed for 64 runs. Apart from Shubman Gill’s 35 and Axar Patel’s 44 runs, no other batsman could cope with Vandersay bowling. He took 6 wickets for 33 runs. Charith Asalanka took 3 wickets. India, who scored 116 runs for 2 wickets, lost 6 wickets for 147 runs and fell into danger. Apart from Axar Patel, no other batsman could struggle.
