Sundargarh: Today is the second phase of elections in Odisha. Voting has started in two assembly constituencies of Subarnapur district in this series. A total of 2 lakh 54 thousand 696 voters are voicing their opinion in Sonepur Assembly Constituency (65) of the district. On the other hand, the EVM in Booth No. 237 of Sonepur District Sonepur Constituency of Menda Village is inactive. Voting could not start due to malfunction of AVM. The voters who came to vote are excited. Voters were seen returning without voting. In the same way, it seems that polling has been hampered due to non-operation of AVM in Booth No. 9 of Sonepur Municipal Council. Similarly, the EVMs in Uphula and Sagjuri (178) booths of Birmaharajpur Constituency have not yet started voting.
In Sundergarh Municipal Ward No. 18 Booth No. 235 of Sundergarh Assembly seat, voting has been delayed due to EVM error. Outside the voter center, a fight broke out over the non-appointment of an agent in Kusguma of Dharkot block under Sankhemundi constituency. When Dharkot BDO, Tahsildar and Dharkot IIC reached the spot, the villagers returned from the polling center saying that no one would vote.
