Bhubaneswar: Now a low pressure area is active in the Bay of Bengal. At 9 o’clock one more seed will be tied. The weather department has predicted rain for the next 5-7 days. However, the rainfall will increase in the state due to the effect of two low pressure. Bhubaneswar Regional Meteorological Center informed that this low pressure formed in the West Central Bay of Bengal has spread to 7.6 km of the atmosphere and is spreading towards the southwest.
Due to these two depressions, there will be relatively less rain over Khurda, Puri, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore and possibly North Interior. Due to the influence of this low pressure in South Odisha and West Odisha, there is a possibility of heavy rain here. Now in different parts of the state, the weather is cloudy with intermittent rain. The low pressure area formed in the central Bay of Bengal is extending towards the south Odisha coast. It will gradually move towards south-west direction. It is not clear whether it will affect Odisha or not.
On the other hand, there is a possibility of another cyclone in the Bay of Bengal by the 23rd. By 24 and 25 it can take the form of low pressure. Due to this, there will be heavy rain in North Odisha and the state of low rainfall will be removed, said the meteorologist. It is known that in the last 24 hours, the maximum rainfall of 45 mm was recorded in Koraput, 18 mm in Boudha, 17 mm in Niagara, 15 mm in Talcher, 13 mm in Bhawanipatna.
