Bhubaneswar: It is raining in different parts of the state due to the low pressure created in the Bay of Bengal. In the next 24 hours, it is likely to intensify and move in the west-northwest direction. Yellow warning has been issued to 6 district of the state today.
Those districts are Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Keonjhar. The regional weather center has estimated heavy rain in one or two places in these district. In the next 24 hours, some parts of North and South Odisha are likely to experience lightning and rain.
However, the Regional Meteorological Center has estimated that there may be heavy rain in West Odisha and Chhattisgarh from Sundergarh to Sambalpur till noon on the 4th. Similarly, very heavy rain is likely in some places. The amount of rain in the state may increase further from the evening of 6th. The weather center has informed that there may be rain in the western and northern interior till 8th.
In the last 24 hours it has rained in Sundargarh, Cuttack, Koraput, Keonjhar, Kendrapada, Sambalpur and Bhadrak.
