Bhubaneswar: On the occasion of the 28th Foundation Day of ‘Am Odisha’ Institute, Senior Linguist and Literary Praphull Kumar Tripathi was conferred Odisha Asmita Honor-2024 in a grand ceremony held at the new assembly hall of the local Buddha Temple on the evening of July 17th. On this occasion, the former editor of ‘Sambad’ and the founder of ‘Am Odisha’ Soumyarjan Patnaik gave the honor to Asmita.

The initial inspiration to serve the language was from Guru Haldhar Panda. No language grows because of literature; Mr. Tripathi said that its practical use is the most important.

People have now forgotten the so-called ‘Five-T’. Therefore, Mr. Patnaik said in his speech that ‘Our Odisha’ will start a comprehensive program based on five ‘ma’kars, i.e. mother, soil, mother tongue, mobile-mukti and alcohol-mukti.

At the beginning of the program, Arvind Das, editor of ‘Sambad, Am Odisha Datavya Nyas’, gave a welcome speech, while Asita Mohanty, editor of ‘Paurusha’, was the chief guest. Praphull Kumar introduced Tripathi. Many lovers of language, literature and culture were present in the meeting.
