Paris Olympics: World Athletics to give 42 lakhs to track and field gold winners

Monaco: World Athletics will give an average prize money of around Rs 42 lakh to the gold medal winners in the 48 events of track and field at the Paris Olympics. India’s Neeraj Chopra can win this award by performing well. In the last Olympics, he won the gold medal in javelin throw and brought glory to India. He became the second Indian athlete to win a gold medal in shooting after Abhinav Bindra. World Athletics has outdone other international confederations by announcing the above prize money. It is expected that athletics will be encouraged by this.On the contrary, there is a risk of disagreement between the International Olympic Committee and World Athletics. The World Athletics said that the prize money will be arranged for the silver and bronze medal winners soon.
