This situation is under the influence of hot and dry winds entering the state in abundance from the West-North-West direction. Heat wave conditions will continue for another 4 days. The weather department said that the temperature will increase from 4 to 6 degrees.

The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert to Mayurbhanj, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Balangir, Sambalpur, Nuapada, Angul, Jajpur, Khordha districts due to heavy hailstorm. Similarly, orange warning has been issued by the meteorological department for Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Bhadrak, Baleshwar, Kendrapada, Sonepur, Malkangiri, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Gajapati, Nayagarh, Nabarangpur, Debagarh, Bargarh and Rayagada.Peak hours for severe heat waves have been announced from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. At this time, the weather center advises not to leave the house. By 30th, the state will see the effect of light monsoon rains.
