New campus of Nalanda inaugurated, old identity will return

New Delhi: The new campus of Nalanda was inaugurated on Wednesday. Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the new campus of Nalanda University. On this occasion, the Prime Minister visited the old university. In 2016, this university was recognized as a tourist destination. A new campus has been constructed near it as the government is making efforts to maintain it.

This new campus has been built at a cost of 1749 crore rupees. It consists of 2 academic blocks with a total of 40 classrooms. 1900 students can sit in classrooms and study. In addition to this, the new campus has 2 auditoriums with 300 seats, hostel for 550 students, sports complex. Various photos of the new campus have been seen on social media.

On the other hand, the Prime Minister posted on his social media X account and wrote, “There will be a special day for our education sector.” Today at 10.30 am, a new campus was inaugurated at Nalanda International School in Rajgir. Prime Minister Modi said that it will meet the educational needs of the youth.

Nalanda University was established in 2010 through an Act of Parliament. Construction of the university began in 2017 with students working on a temporary site. However, this step has been taken to remember the ancient Nalanda University in modern times. The highlight of the new campus is that it has a number of eco-friendly state-of-the-art facilities.
