New Delhi: Before the Paris Olympics, India has been hit hard. Longjumper Murali Shreeshankar has withdrawn from the Olympics due to injury problems. Sreeshankar has informed the fans about this by tweeting. The Olympics will be held from 26 July to 11 August. Sreeshankar won the silver medal in the Asian Games and qualified for the Olympics by jumping 8.37 meters in the Asian Athletics Championship. The 25-year-old budding athlete started the season on April 27 and May 10 through the Diamond League competition. However, he was injured during training.

It is a nightmare for me. My dream of playing the Paris Olympics has been shattered. In the 2022 Birmingham State Games, Murali won the gold medal and attracted everyone’s attention. Since 1978, no Indian has achieved this feat in the long jump. Suresh Babu won the bronze medal in 1978.
