Lucknow: Police personnel in Kashi Vishwanath Dham premises in Uttar Pradesh will also wear dhoti-kurta like the temple’s priest. A few years ago in 2018, such a decision was taken. According to temple official, male police staff will wear dhoti and kurta while female police staff  will wear salwar and kurta. Those police staff have to undergo three days of training before wearing this special uniform.

According to information, this step has been taken to make the devotees feel happy. So that the negative perception of the security personnel’s clothing can be removed. Apart from this, a ‘no touch’ policy has also been implemented to control the crowd. Police Commissioner Mohit Agarwal said, “From the way the police are treating him, he has never realized who is disrespecting him.”

Mohit Agarwal ordered the police officers to wear the same clothes as the priests in the sanctum sanctorum of Sri Kashi Vishwanath Temple for the convenience and cooperation of the devotees. According to the order of Deputy Commissioner of Police staff Department Suryakant Tripathi, this rule has been started from yesterday.
