Gangtok: A large-scale landslide occurred in Lachung area of ​​Mangan district of North Sikkim on 12th. The rescue of tourists trapped in this landslide continues. Now the Indian army has achieved great success. Jawan has rescued more than 1200 tourists who were trapped after the landslide. While some tourists are trapped, the army has informed that they will be rescued soon.

It has been reported that 6 people died in this landslide. On Monday, the administration rescued 64 tourists and shifted them to Mangan, the district headquarters. There are reports that rescue operations are delayed due to heavy rains. Tourists trapped in Lachung area of ​​Mangan district have been rescued.

However, on the 12th of this month, a large-scale landslide occurred in Lachung area of ​​Mangan district of North Sikkim. As a result, more than 1200 tourists were trapped there. Due to heavy rains, the rescue work was a big challenge. After about 7 days of operation, the tourist was safely rescued. The rescue operation is going on by the army along with NDRF, SDRF and Border Road Organization.
