New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will remain in jail now. Kejriwal was expected to be released from jail after getting bail from the trial court but the ED immediately approached the Delhi High Court opposing the bail granted to Kejriwal. Today, the High Court has given its verdict in this case.
Delhi High Court has put a stay on Kejriwal’s bail. The High Court said, “When the trial court granted bail to Kejriwal, it did not consider the bail conditions contained in Section 45 of the PMLA Act.” The High Court did not accept the decision of the trial court and stayed the order of the Delhi High Court.
The ED filed a petition against Arvind Kejriwal’s bail in the Delhi liquor corruption case. The hearing on this application will be held in the High Court in the coming days and the stay will continue until the hearing is over.
