New Delhi: Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who was arrested in the case of Delhi office corruption, was attacked by the Supreme Court. Kejriwal will be in judicial custody till May 20 when the court has given a clear verdict on the application for interim bail. The next hearing of this case will be on May 9.
During the hearing of the case, a bench of Justice Sanjib Khanna and Justice Dipankar Dutt also asked the ED several questions. The judge asked Additional Solicitor General SB Raju, appearing for the ED, to submit the case file before and after the arrest of former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.
The court questioned the ED that he has spent two years in bringing some things to the fore. Why not directly ask relevant questions to the witnesses and the accused in the case. Similarly, Additional Solicitor General SB Raju, appearing for the Central Investigation Agency in the court, said that Kejriwal was not at the center of the investigation at the beginning of the case, but later his name came up.
It is worth noting that Kejriwal was arrested on March 21 in a money laundering case related to the Delhi excise corruption case. Now he is in judicial custody in Tihar Jail.
