In the last over, India needed 5 more runs to win, with 2 wickets in hand. Shivam Dube scored a chukka to bring the match in favor of India. After that, Charith Asalanka dismissed him. In the next ball, he dismissed Arshdeep Singh and tied the match. He took away a sure chance of victory from the hands of India. Batting first, Sri Lanka scored 230 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted overs. Pathum Nissanka scored 56 and Dunith Wellalage scored 67. Arshdeep Singh and Axar Patel took 2 wickets each from India.
