In the hockey semi, India will aim to fight for the bronze medal

Paris: India is close to 2 medals in the current Paris Olympics. In the men’s hockey semi-final, Team India defeated Great Britain 4-2 in a shootout in a thrilling encounter. Both teams scored one goal each at the scheduled time. India had to play with 10 players most of the time due to Amit Rohidas getting a red card. Acting Harmanpreet Singh gave India a 1-0 lead in the 22nd minute. Great Britain brought the match to the same position in 5 minutes. The match was tied at 1-1 at the scheduled time.

Pear Sreejesh Hero again scored for India in the shootout. India won 4-2 and advanced to the semis. India’s star badminton player Nishar Sen has lost in the men’s singles semi-final. He lost to Olympic champion Victor Axelsen 20-22 and 14-21. Now he will play for the bronze medal match. In women’s boxing, Lovlina Borgohein lost 1-4 to China’s Li Qian in the 75kg quarter-final. In addition, his Olympic campaign is over.
