Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah presided over a meeting at the Ministry of Home Affairs in Delhi’s North Block to review the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir and the Amarnath Travel. NSA Ajit Doval, Jammu and Kashmir LG Manoj Sinha, Home Secretary, Army Chief Manoj Pandey and Army Chief-of-Office Lt. Gen. Upendra Dwivedi, IB Director Tapan Deka, SRPF DG Anish Dinal, BSF DG Niteen Agarwal and other officials were present in the meeting. Ministry of Home Affairs and Union Territory have participated in it.
Recently, a pilgrim bus was attacked in Resi, Jammu, in which 9 pilgrims were killed and a soldier was also killed. Six soldiers including children and many passengers were injured in the attack. After which the government has already alerted about all kinds of security measures for Amarnath Travel. Necessary checks will be arranged with strict security during Amarnath travel. In addition, AI will keep a close eye on any problems that arise on the route of the Amarnath journey.
