New Delhi; The Supreme Court ordered the Center to provide information on all notices and arrests issued under the GST Act. According to the Supreme Court, sometimes people who have not paid GST are being harassed without being arrested and being repeatedly issued with arrest notices. Which is undermining individuality and citizenship.
It is worth noting that on May 2, the Supreme Court made a remark on the petition filed against the GST Act, Customs Act and PMLA. According to Sidharth Luthra, the petitioner’s lawyer, the authorities are misusing the GST Act. The court expressed concern about that and gave such an order.
On the other hand, the Union Ministry is of the opinion that it is difficult to collect such data from all the states and they are ready to answer all the questions. However, the next hearing of this case has been scheduled on May 9.
